Description
Bed bugs hide in seams, joints, headboards, outlets and baseboards, and their eggs survive many over-the-counter products. Heat treatment raises the temperature of the infested room and its contents to a level that kills bed bugs and their eggs, while technicians monitor temperatures with sensors to make sure every hiding place reaches the target.
How the process works
- Inspection and confirmation of activity, including the number of rooms affected.
- Preparation – you receive a checklist (for example, removing heat-sensitive items such as candles, medications, aerosols and electronics as instructed).
- Heating with professional equipment and fans for several hours while temperatures are logged.
- Supplemental treatment of areas that cannot be heated effectively, where appropriate.
- Follow-up inspection to confirm results.
The starting price is per room for a standard bedroom. Multi-room jobs, apartments and severe infestations are quoted after inspection. Learn the early warning signs in our article Bed Bugs: Signs and Treatment.
